Allcot Group carbon offset agreetment – First Carbon Neutral World Travel Photographer
Scott Ralph Studio has signed a two-year agreement with Allcot to measure its carbon footprint and offset its annual emissions. Scott Ralph, from Scott Ralph Studio, is an exclusive, independent photographer. Specialising in landscape and wildlife photographs for books, magazines, and art pieces, he works across every photographic genre from property to children, fashion and pets.
Working regularly outdoors, he wanted to invest in sustainability. From 2011-2014, Scott Ralph Studio generated 34tCO2e (tonnes of CO2 equivalent), with these emissions coming largely from studio energy use and unavoidable business travel.
The project chosen to offset Scott Ralph Studio’s greenhouse gas emissions is the Brazilian Rosewood Protected Forest Project (RMDLT), which invests in preserving standing rainforest, using the REDD+ (Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) methodology.
Located in the Para region of Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest, the Project Area consists of 177,899 hectares of outstanding flora and fauna.
